HYDROFORM OPERATOR

Rate:                      $18.14

SUMMARY

Operates hydroform press to achieve targeted pieces per hour while using using measuring instruments to check parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces from machines to assist in fitting and welding.
• Holds tape and blanks and marks reference points to assist in layout.
• Loads, stacks, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or truck.
• Attaches grappling equipment to work pieces to prepare work piece for moving by crane or lift truck.
• Cleans and scrapes metal preparatory to fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Performs other routine duties.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Room for growth in company though.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – Minimum education High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
